Discover the BGCWSA Afterschool Experience

For over 25 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County (BGCWSA) has provided a safe, fun, and enriching afterschool program where children ages 5-18 can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our afterschool program operates five days a week throughout the school year, offering engaging activities, academic support, and a welcoming environment led by dedicated program staff. Parents can rely on us for affordable, high-quality care that meets their needs and supports their children’s development.

What We Offer:

  • Homework Help & Academic Support: Personalized assistance to help kids excel in school.

  • Fitness & Wellness: Daily physical activities and nutrition education with partners like Project Grows and Augusta Health.

  • Leadership & Life Skills: Programs that build confidence, teamwork, and responsibility.

Affordable Fees & Transportation: Club members who need community support funding to access our sliding fee scale receive an automatic scholarship for BGCWSA’s afterschool program that provides weekly care for $10-$30/wk per child. The reduced rate, made possible by charitable donations that provide our automatic Community Support Scholarships, is based on household income, making our programs accessible to all families. We also provide school pickup and collaboration with local schools to provide Club members with daily transportation to Club sites.

BGCWSA Summer Camp 2025

Get ready for an unforgettable summer at the Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County! Our summer camp provides a safe, fun-filled environment where children can explore, learn, and make lasting memories at both Club sites.

Camp Details:

  • Dates: June 2, 2025 – July 25, 2025

  • Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Ages: Children ages 5-12 years (Check back for our summer options for 13+ year old youth)

Activities Include:

  • Exciting field trips

  • Hands-on STEM projects

  • Arts and crafts

  • Sports and outdoor play

  • Team-building and leadership activities

Affordable Fees (Automatic community support scholarships ensure affordability for all families):

  • $40 registration fee per child

  • $40-$60 per week per child based on household income
